FRESNO, Calif. - The 61st-ranked Fresno Bulldogs captured all six singles matches in straight sets en route to a 7-0 victory over UC Davis Sunday afternoon in a men's tennis match at the Wathen Tennis Center.
With the loss the Aggies fall to 2-7 on the season.
The day started with Fresno capturing two of three matches for the opening doubles point. Greg Lee and Paul Dilloway recorded the Aggies' lone victory with an 8-3 win over Hector Almada and Sergiu Modoc at No.1. The Bulldogs won at No.2 and No.3 by identical scores of 8-3.
In singles play, Fresno State clinched the match with straight-set wins at all six positions. Dilloway at No.2 battled Stefan Suta before falling 6-4, 6-4. Almada defeated Lee at No.1, ending Lee's 15-match winning streak.
UC Davis will next be in action on Saturday when it hosts Cal Poly Pomona at Hickey Courts in a match set to begin at noon.
