SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. — The UC Davis men’s tennis team started off the match strong by sealing the doubles point over Big West school Cal Poly; however, the Aggies eventually fell to the Mustangs to a final 4-2 score at the Mustang Tennis Complex on Saturday afternoon.

Cal Poly tied the match 1-1 after winning the first singles match at the No. 1 position, but freshman Chethan Swanson temporarily brought gave the Aggies the lead once more after garnering a striaght-set win over Karl Enender, 6-3, 6-4.
Unfortunately, it was the Mustangs that went on to seal the remaining singles matches that day, finalizing the score at 4-2.
The UC Davis men’s tennis team returns to action next Friday for a two-match competition week. On Friday and Saturday (Apr. 20-21), the Aggies will welcome Big West schools UC Irvine at noon and UC Riverside at 1:30 p.m., respectively, to the Marya Welch Tennis Center.
