STOCKTON, Calif.
-- Although tournament play is winding down for the Aggies, freshman Arjith Jayaraman remains strong in the singles consolation draw after qualifying to the Final Round during the fourth tournament day at the ITA Northwest Regional Championships in Stockton, Calif.

In the Quarterfinal Round for the singles consolation draw, Jayaraman defeated the No. 16 seed William Genesen from Stanford by winning the last two sets of the match, 3-6, 6-3, 1-0(4). Going into the Semifinal Round, the El Dorado Hills native qualified to the Final Round over the No. 15 seed Clissold Cormac from Oregon due to Cormac's walkover call.
