DAVIS, Calif. - The UC Davis women's and men's tennis programs will team up to host a free kids clinic on Saturday, March 29, from 10-11:30 a.m., at the Marya Welch Tennis Center on campus, weather permitting.
As long as the courts at the Center are dry, suitable for competition and safe for all participants, UC Davis women's and men's tennis will conduct its event. Rain, with a chance of thunderstorms, are forecasted to swing through Northern California this weekend; if inclement weather does hit Davis late Friday night/early Saturday morning, the clinic will not take place.
Due to NCAA restrictions, the event is only open to kids in first through eighth grades and will be taught by UC Davis players and coaches. The clinic will cover all aspects of the game: forehands, backhands, movement technique, volleys, serves, and overheads.
A fun "hit for prizes" contest will be held at the end of the clinic and is open to all participants.
For more information, please contact men's tennis assistant coach Michael Meyer at (650) 766-7081 or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
