DAVIS, Calif. - The UC Davis men's tennis team closes out its 2013 home schedule this weekend with a pair of Big West Conference matches at the Marya Welch Tennis Center.

The Aggies (6-9, 0-2 Big West) will play host to Cal Poly at 1:30 p.m. on Friday before battling UC Santa Barbara at noon on Saturday.

Saturday's match will be Senior Day, and a ceremony honoring the Aggies' three seniors will be held in between doubles and singles.

UC DAVIS BREAKDOWN

Record: 6-9, 0-2 Big West

Recently: UC Davis lost at home last weekend to Hawai'i, 5-2. The Aggies have played four consecutive matches to a 5-2 score, winning one and losing three.

SENIOR DAY

UC Davis will honor its three seniors on Saturday against UC Santa Barbara. The Aggies will have a ceremony between doubles and singles for seniors George Horowitz, Toki Sherbakov and Hugo Verdi-Fortin

BACHARACH DOUBLES UP

Brett Bacharach was UC Davis' sole dual winner last weekend against Hawai'i. The freshman from Newcastle, Calif., won 6-4, 7-6 at No. 4 singles and combined with George Horowitz for a 9-7 win at No. 3 doubles. Bacharach and Horowitz have won three straight at No. 3 doubles.

NEUTRAL SITE ADVANTAGE

UC Davis is 1-5 at home and 1-4 on the road this season but is a perfect 4-0 in neutral site matches. The Aggies defeated George Fox, Seattle U, Villanova and Boston College this season in neutral site matches.

MILLER PLAYING WELL

Junior Kyle Miller boasts the best singles record on the UC Davis roster this season, going 10-5 overall. Miller is 1-0 at No. 1 singles and 9-5 at No. 2. He is 6-4 over his last 10 matches. Miller is also a combined 6-3 in doubles play in dual matches while pairing with both Alec Haley and Adam Luba.

DOUBLES DOMINANCE

UC Davis has a winning record at all three doubles levels this season. The Aggies have gone 8-6 at No. 1, 8-6 at No. 2 and 8-5 at No. 3 in dual matches. Adam Levie and Toki Sherbakov have played at No. 1 doubles in all 14 dual matches this season.
