DAVIS, Calif. -- For the second consecutive year, the UC Davis men's tennis program is set to host the second leg of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's Northern California Summer Circuit this weekend at the Marya Welch Tennis Center on campus beginning Saturday morning (July 12) at 9 a.m. and running through Monday (July 14).
Made up of nine regional circuits (Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Southeast, Midwest, Central, Mountain, Texas, Northern California, and Southern California) with four stops each throughout the month of July. Action began last weekend at San Jose State and continues with events at the University of the Pacific (July 19-21) and Sonoma State (July 26-28).
Each region feeds into the ITA/USTA National Summer Championships hosted by the University of Indiana in Bloomington, Ind., on August 9-12.
This summer marks the second consecutive year that UC Davis will be a host site on the circuit and more information is available via the ITA website at http://www.itatennis.com/Events/ITA_Summer_Circuit.htm.
