DAVIS, Calif. -- - Coming off a three-title performance last weekend at the UC Santa Barbara Classic last weekend, the UC Davis men's tennis team returns to the courts the its penultimate competition of the fall season, heading south to Moraga, Calif., for the 2013 ITA Northwest Regionals hosted by Saint Mary's.
Play begins on Friday (Oct. 17) and Saturday (Oct. 18) at 8:30 a.m. at the Timothy Korth Tennis Complex, while Sunday (Oct. 19) and Monday's (Oct. 20) competition will hold first serve beginning at 9 a.m.
Youth was served on California's Central Coast last week in Santa Barbara as five Aggies returned home with titles from the Gauchos' fall event with sophomore Brett Bacharach, sophomore Adam Levie, and freshman Alec Adamson each claiming main flight championships.
Bacharach battled through a three-set, 6-2, 0-6, 6-4, win in the Flight B singles championship over Sasha Gryaznov from host UC Santa Barbara, while Levie and Adamson claimed the Flight A doubles crown with an 8-6 win over the duo of Chase Melton and Wyatt Houghton from California.
Not to be outdone, a third title came home to Davis as freshman Bryce McKelvie and senior Adam Luba teamed up for the consolation championship of the Flight B doubles competition over Northern Arizona's Fabio Tomasetti and Kester Black.
