DAVIS, Calif. - The UC Davis men's tennis team continues its fall schedule this weekend when it takes part in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Northwest Regional Championships, with competition scheduled for Oct. 21-25 in Seattle, Wash.
The ITA event is hosted by Washington with matches being held at the Nordstrom Tennis Center and the Seattle Tennis Club. In addition to UC Davis and Washington, players from the following schools will be in play this weekend: California, Eastern Washington, Fresno State, Gonzaga, Oregon, Pacific, Portland, Portland State, Sacramento State, Saint Mary's, San Francisco, San Jose State, Santa Clara, Stanford and Washington State.
The tournament features a 128-line singles draw and a 64-line doubles draw in addition to a consolation bracket. Two singles rounds will be played on Friday, while doubles and consolation play begins on Saturday.
Seven Aggies will compete this weekend, including Chris Aria, Connor Coates, George Horowitz, Josh Albert, Toki Sherbakov, Hugo Verdi-Fortin and Kyle Miller. Doubles pairing include Albert/Aria and Miller/Verdi-Fortin.
