DAVIS, Calif. - The UC Davis men's tennis program has signed Kyle Miller to a National Letter of Intent, announced head coach Daryl Lee. Miller will join the Aggies as a freshman beginning in 2010-11. He is from Pacific Grove, Calif., and currently attends Stevenson High School.
Miller has helped lead Stevenson to back-to-back Mission Trail Athletic League titles. He has twice been named most valuable player. Miller is ranked No. 7 in the latest USTA Northern California Boys' 18 Singles. He was a semifinalist at last month's Junior Excellence tournament.
"I'm excited about having Kyle join our program," said Lee. "I'm impressed with his academic as well as his tennis accomplishments. Most importantly, I feel that he is open-minded to learning and making progress."
UC Davis recently concluded its falls schedule and will open its dual match season Jan. 16 at Santa Clara.
