SAN MARIN HS ’00: Finished 5th at state championships in discus (179-5)... Also competed in 100 meters and 4x100... Earned back-to-back All-Marin County Athletic League honors as a tight end in football.

PERSONAL: Born Jan. 26, 1982 in San Francisco, Calif.... International relations major... Father, Mike, played football at Oregon... Oldest of three siblings: sister Mary plays softball, basketball and volleyball, brother Marty plays soccer and basketball...
