DAVIS, Calif. - UC Davis senior attacker Bernie Rogers captured the first KAP7 Western Water Polo Association Player of the Week award, it was announced by the conference office Wednesday night. This is the first such honor for the Del Mar, Calif. native and the first by an Aggie since Chris Richardson garnered the award almost one year ago.

Rogers led UC Davis in most major categories during last weekend's Triton Invitational, namely minutes played (103), goals (8), assists (5) and steals (4). He scored a team-best four goals in Saturday's win over WWPA leaguemate Cal Baptist, and tallied two goals with two assists in Sunday's morning matchup with sixth-ranked Long Beach State.

The Aggies, now 2-2 for the year and 2-0 against WWPA foes, has a weekend off from competition. They will return to action in the NorCal Invitational at Cal on Sept. 21-22.
