DAVIS, Calif. - UC Davis senior attacker Bernie Rogers captured his second straight KAP7 Western Water Polo Association Player of the Week award, this time for the final regular-season weekend of 2013, it was announced by the league office on Wednesday.

The Del Mar, Calif. native and Cathedral Catholic High School alumnus scored a total of five goals with four assists and four steals in the Aggies' WWPA wins against Santa Clara and Air Force last Sunday and Monday. The victories allowed UC Davis to finish with a 5-0 conference record and claim the top seed in the WWPA tournament. They also bumped the Aggies up one notch in the national coaches' poll to No. 11.

Rogers scored a hat trick with three assists in Sunday's 11-4 win against the No. 16 Broncos, which clinched the league's top seed. He then was one of five players with two goals in Monday's 13-7 triumph against the Falcons to wrap up the regular season.

This is Rogers' third such nod in 2013, and the fourth by an Aggie this season. Trevor Allen shared WWPA Player of the Week honors back on October 16.

UC Davis hosts the WWPA Championship at Schaal Aquatics Center from Nov. 22-24. The Aggies have a bye into that Saturday's 12:15 p.m. semifinal.
