2005-06: PACIFIC-10 CONFERNCE CHAMPION at 174 pounds... Went 24-6 overall, 23-6 in NCAA-countable matches... Win total ranks T9th in school record books, while win percentage of .793 is 4th... Went 2-2 at NCAA Championships as No. 7 seed, coming within one round of All-America status... One of first two Aggies (along with Derek Moore) ever to earn seeding at nationals... Opened with 13-4 major against Blake Mauer of Ohio State... Loss to 2nd-seeded Jake Herbert of Northwestern in NCAA quarterfinals ended run of 13 straight wins... Went 12-0 in major decisions for the year, 4-0 in pins, 1-0 in technical falls... Also was undefeated (6-0) in dual matches... Two pins came within first minute of bout: 0:33 against Embry-Riddle's Nick Walden, 0:50 against Western Wyoming JC's Colt Reece... Finished 3rd at Reno TOCs, and went undefeated at California Open.

2004-05: Went 2-2 (1-2 in NCAA-countable bouts) at Fullerton Open... Scored technical fall win over open wrestler Humberto Moreira in first bout... First win over collegian was 6-0 shutout against Fullerton's Scott Judd.

AMERICAN HS '01: Captured state and national 160-pound titles in his senior season... Beat the same wrestler, Greg Smith of Lake Arrowhead Rim, to take both championships... Defeated Smith in 10-8 overtime battle for state banner, then claimed 11-8 victory over Smith in national final... Had previously finished 2nd and 4th in state during his junior and sophomore seasons, respectively... Selected to Asics Tiger High School All-America second team in 2001... Won national junior Greco title in 2000.

PERSONAL: Born in Fremont, Calif.... Majoring in community & regional development... Parents are Steve & Bridget Cook... Younger sisters Kassie (20) and Stefani (18) both attend Sacramento State... Proudest accomplishment is his national Greco title in 2000... Hopes for career in physical therapy.
