2006-07: Competed in four matches, going 1-3... Went 1-1 in dual matches... Earned dramatic 11-10 decision over Jeff Baker of Cal State Bakersfield, scoring a reversal and three-point near fall in the bout's final nine seconds.

2005-06: Redshirted... Went 4-2 at Fullerton's California Open, winning four straight after dropping a 1-0 first-round decision.

SANTA MONICA HS '05: Won two bouts by fall and two by technical fall at Southern Section Central Division championships, taking 154-pound title... Also placed 6th at section masters tournament... Advanced to the state championships, going 2-2... Placed 2nd at Five Counties Tournament of Champions... Also accomplished in judo, winning his class at 2003 National Junior Olympic Championships and 2002 USJF Junior Nationals... Was second at 2003 Junior U.S. Open Judo Championships.

PERSONAL: Born in the Ukraine... Majoring in biomedical engineering... Parents are Sam & Irina Darkhovsky... Hopes for career in sports medicine.
