2005-06: Placed 6th at Pac-10 Championships... Broke through with 22-15 record (20-14 in NCAA-countable bouts)... Won four bouts by fall, four by technical fall, three in major decision... Wrestled in all 17 duals, finishing at 11-6... Pinned Virginia Tech's Matt Woods in just 12 seconds... Opened year with 5th-place finish at Fullerton's California Open, recording two technical falls and a pin.

2004-05: Had 6-4 record (5-4 vs. NCAA-countable opponents), all at tournaments... Went 3-2 at Fullerton Open... Finished 2nd at All-Cal Invitational... Posted 11-2 major over Fresno State's Jatinder Singh to advance to title match.

2003-04: Finished with 3-4 record (1-4 in NCAA bouts), all in Fullerton Open and Aggie Open... Pinned Japeth Nuñez of East L.A. College in 1:11 at Fullerton... Lone win against four-year collegian was 5-0 decision over teammate Reed Shelger in Aggie Open.

2002-03: Redshirted.

ROCKLIN HS '02: Went 44-11 as a senior, 29-17 as a junior... Selected as team's Most Inspirational as a senior, after capturing Sierra Foothill League and Sac-Joaquin subsection titles... Advanced to place fifth at section tournament.

PERSONAL: Born in Champaign-Urbana, Ill.... Double-majoring in Japanese and East Asian studies... Parents are Craig & Patricia Kelly... Hopes to become a high school teacher... Best athletes he's faced were members of the Japanese Olympic team.
