Claimed victories at the Pac-10s over Oregon's Ryan Dunn (8-7) and Cal State Bakersfield's Brandon Zoetway (10-4)... Finished with an 8-6 record against Pac-10 opponents.
2005-06: Placed 6th at Pac-10 Conference tournament, beating Cal State Fullerton's Curtis Schurkamp, 8-6, then pinning Oregon's Beau Malia in 29 seconds to advance through wrestleback draw... Finished year at 13-19 (12-19 in NCAA-countable matches), 7-10 in duals... One of three Aggies to compete in all 17 duals... Won three major decisions and two wins by fall.
2004-05: Redshirted... Competed unattached at Fullerton Open and went 3-2... Two of three wins were by fall... Shut out Cal Poly's John Hanks, 7-0, in tourney opener for first career win.
VACAVILLE HS '04: Three-time qualifier for state tourney... Placed 5th at the state championships as a junior (119 lbs) and senior (125)... Won Sac-Joaquin subsections both years to advance... Captured CIF-SJS title in 2003... Two-year Monticello Empire League champion... Finished 60-6 as a senior, 54-9 as a junior, 42-14 as a sophomore, 35-14 as a freshman (191-43 career record)... Team went 104-10 during that span... Voted team MVP in 2004 after two years as Most Outstanding Lightweight... Also competed for Vacaville Wrestling Club for eight years.
