2004-05: Wrestled unattached at Fullerton Open, going 3-1 (1-1 vs. NCAA-countable opponents)... Then went 2-8 (1-7 NCAA) as an active roster competitor... Pinned Western Wyoming CC's Jesse Long in 4:34 in first round of Reno TOC... Also had 18-11 dual win over Chip Forsythe of Cal Poly.

2003-04: Did not compete.

2002-03: Redshirted.

WEST VALLEY COLLEGE: Competed and won a pair of matches at state JC championships at 157 pounds.

MONTEREY HS '01: Captured Central Coast Section title as a senior 152-pounder... Went on to place 8th at state championships... Section runner-up at 147s as a junior... Selected as team's Most Outstanding Wrestler both years... Led team in escapes and takedowns as a senior... Was team leader in escapes and reversals as a junior... Placed in 22 tournaments over his career, yet another school mark.

PERSONAL: Born in Monterey, Calif.... Exercise biology major, plans to become a physical therapist... Parents are Roman Padilla and Cathy Cieslowcowski, whom he lists as non-sports heroes... Dream vacation would be to backpack through Europe.
