Virginia Duals Results

HAMPTON, Va. Frank Richmond pinned No. 20 Garrett Atkinson 53 seconds into the 165-pound match as UC Davis fell to North Carolina 12-24 in their first match of the Virginia Duals being held Friday and Saturday at the Hampton Coliseum in Hampton, Va. The Aggies will wrestle Columbia in their second match of the day at 1 p.m. EST.

Richmond's win was accompanied by a 13-6 decision over Evan Sola by Aggie Omar Gaitan in the 133-pound match-up and No. 13 Ken Cook's 16-9 decision over Alex Maciag. Jeff Bristol came up on the short side of a two-point match against Chris Ramos dropping the pairing in a 6-8 decision.

With the loss the Aggies' dual record for the season falls to 2-4.
