DAVIS, Calif. - Cal Poly won four consecutive matches to break an early 9-9 tie, including getting a technical fall from David Schenk at 197 pounds, as the Mustangs defeated UC Davis, 22-15, in a Pacific-10 Conference wrestling match on Thursday night before 417 fans at Hickey Gym.

Cal Poly took an early 9-0 lead in the match behind an 8-7 decision from Matt Cox against the Aggies' Nick Davis at 149 pounds, then picked up six more team points when UC Davis' Jeremiah Jarvis was forced to injury default his 157-pound match to the Mustangs' Nick Hopping just 1 minute, 29 seconds into the first round. Jarvis reinjured his left knee.
