DAVIS, Calif. - Tyler Bernacchi posted the only win for UC Davis on Friday afternoon with a 3-1 decision over Kyle Bressler in the 184-pound match-up as the Aggies fell to Pac-10 foe Oregon State 34-3 at UC Davis' Pavilion. Both Jon Clark and Eliot Kelly took their respective matches into overtime but each failed to come away with a win.

Clark and No. 16 Tony Hook battled it out in the 157-pound match each scoring on two escapes and a takedown and at the end of the regulation seven minutes, the match was forced into overtime. The wrestlers went three overtime periods before Hook scored on an escape to finish the match with a narrow 5-4 decision.

In the 197-pound match-up, Kelly and Dan Pitsch had things tied up 2-2 at the end of three periods. Pitsch was able to score a two-point takedown 13 seconds into the overtime period to take away the 4-2 decision.

In another close fought match for the Aggies, Dustin Noack, who wrestled up a weight class, lost a narrow decision to Anthony Weber who accumulated the one minute and 45 seconds of riding time that helped him seal the 4-3 win for the 165-pounders.

In the 141-pound match-up, the Beaver's Kyle Larson, who is the No. 2 ranked wrestler in the Pac-10, upset Aggie Derek Moore in a 7-3 decision.

"We have two guys that are very sick and we weren't sure how they would do since they haven't been able to go 100 percent during practice and they ended up getting tired during their matches. Another hurdle we faced was having to move Noack up from 157-pounds. With all these factors at play, it went as we expected it would," said head coach Lennie Zalesky of the loss.

With the loss the Aggie record falls to 4-7 overall and 2-3 in the Pac-10 while the Beaver's record has been lifted to 11-1 overall with a 6-1 Pac-10 record.

The Aggies continue their four-dual weekend with a Friday evening match-up with Oregon at 7 p.m. in the Pavilion.
