LAS VEGAS, Nev. - No. 4 tournament seed Derek Moore was pinned by No. 3 seed Josh Churella of Michigan 6 mintues 47 seconds into the 141 pound final match to highlight UC Davis action on Saturday, the second and final day of the 24th annual Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational being held at the Cashman Center. Moore and Ken Cook were the only two UC Davis wrestlers to advance to the second day of the tournament, Cook placed eighth in the 174 pound bracket.

After going undefeated on Friday, Moore defeated No. 9 seed Kevin Artis in the semifinal match in a 16-5 major decision on Saturday before falling to Churella in the finals.

Cook, who lost in the quarter finals on Friday, started Saturday in the wrestleback bracket where he defeated Charlie Pipher of Western State in a 14-5 major decision. In the next round, Cook was defeated by Edinboro's Eric RIng in a tough 2-1 decision, which placed Cook in the seventh place match. In the seventh place match-up Cook defaulted against Lior Zamir of Penn to take eighth place.

UC Davis finished 18th overall out of 52 teams in competition with 46 points. Michigan won the tournament with a total of 145 points.

The Aggies will return to action on Friday, Dec. 9 when they host their first home dual of the season against San Francisco State at 7 p.m.
