DAVIS, Calif. - The Pacific-10 Conference has released the seeding bracket for the 2010 Pac-10 Wrestling Championships, it was announced Friday. UC Davis is led by junior Brandon Low who is the No. 1 seed at 133 pounds and junior Barrett Abel who is seeded second at 149 pounds. Ricky Alcala is the fourth seed at 285 pounds.

Defending champion Boise State owns four of the 10 top seeds while Cal State Bakersfield has the top-seeded wrestler at 197 and 285.

The NCAA also announced the qualifier allocations for the 2010 NCAA Division I Championships Friday. The Pac-10 Conference will receive 33 automatic bids with the at-large qualifiers to be announced March 10.

Low, ranked 12th nationally by InterMat, currently owns a 7-1 overall record and is undefeated in Pac-10 action with a 6-0 record. The Aggies' top seed is riding a seven-match win streak as he enters the weekend. Low will match up against No. 8 Ben DeMuelle of Boise State.

Abel is currently ranked 16th in the country by Intermat and is 7-3 in Pac-10 dual action. He will face Stanford's Tyler Parker who is the No. 7 seed. Abel finished third at the 2009 Pac-10 Wrestling Championships.

At heavyweight, Alcala is the fourth seed and will face No. 5 Kurt Klimek of Cal State Fullerton. Alcala is ranked 18th by InterMat and owns an 18-6 overall record and a 10-4 mark in Pac-10 action. He was one of three Aggies to earn an automatic bid to the 2009 NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships after finishing third overall before winning the true second place match to get the automatic bid.

Action at the 2010 Pac-10 Wrestling Championships begins Friday, Feb. 26 at noon.
