Brackets for the 2003 Pacific-10 Wrestling Championships

BOISE, Idaho - The seeds and brackets are now set for the 2003 Pac-10 Wrestling Championships. Action begins Sunday, March 2 with the first session beginning at 11:00 a.m., featuring first round and quarterfinal championship matches, and several consolation matches. The second session on Sunday starts at 6:00 p.m. and will feature the championship semifinals along with consolation preliminaries and quarterfinal matches.

Competition on Monday starts at 11:00 a.m. with the consolation semifinals, and the third and fifth place matches. At 6:30 p.m. on Monday, the annual Parade of Champions will then lead to the championship finals. The top four wrestlers in each of the 10 weight classes, along with three wild card wrestlers, will advance to the NCAA National Wrestling Championships, March 20-22 (Thursday-Saturday) at Kemper Arena in Kansas City, Missouri.

UC Davis finished a program-best seventh at last year's Pac-10 Championships and sent four wrestlers to the NCAA Championships.

At 125 pounds, the number one seed is Boise State's Ben Vombaur. The number two seed is Cal Poly's Vic Moreno. At number three is Efren Ceballos of Cal State Bakersfield.

At 133 pounds, number one is Jason Harless of Oregon; number two is Urijah Faber of UC Davis; number three is Stanford's Brad Metzler; and number four is Cal State Bakersfield's Matt Sanchez.

At 141 pounds, the first seed is Dana Holland of Arizona State; the second seed is Gabe Vigil of Boise State; the three seed is Casey Hunt of Oregon; and the fourth seed is Juan Mora of Cal State Fullerton.

At 149 pounds, number one is Eric Larkin of Arizona State; the second seed is Collin Robertson of Boise State; number three is Tony Overstake of Oregon; and the fourth seed is Matt Cox of Cal Poly.

At 157 pounds, the top seed is Matt Gentry of Stanford; number two is Jeremiah Jarvis of UC-Davis; number three is Rocky Smart of Arizona State; and the fourth seed is Brian Cobb of Cal State Bakersfield.

At 165 pounds, the number one seed is Nick Frost of Arizona State; number two is Matt Ellis of Oregon State; the third seed is Eric Arbogast of Portland State; and the fourth seed is Nathan Ploehn of Boise State.

At 174 pounds, the top seed is Arizona State's Curtis Owen; seeded second is Shane Webster of Oregon; the third seed is Jake Huffman of Oregon State; and the fourth seed is Chris Carlino of Cal State Fullerton.

At 184 pounds, the first seed is Ryan Halsey of Cal Poly; the second seed is Jed Pennell of Oregon State; Boise State's Tony D'Amico is third; and Rowdy Lundegreen of Cal State Fullerton is fourth.

At 197 pounds, Oregon State's Jason Lovell is seed one; Arizona State's Ryan Bader is second; Cal Poly's David Schenk is third; and the fourth seed is Boise State's K.C. Walsh.

At 285 pounds, Arizona State Kllan Fluckiger is seeded one; Boise State's Boe Rushton is the second seed; Oregon State's Andy Bowlby is seeded three; and Cal Poly's Dan Howe is seeded four.
