DAVIS, Calif. -- Kelsey Harris' three-pointer from the left corner with 14 seconds to play snapped a 60-all tie and junior Sydnee Fipps tallied her third double-double of the season with a game-high 18 points and 10 rebounds, lifting host UC Davis to a 63-60 win over Long Beach State on Saturday afternoon at The Pavilion.

The win was the fourth in the last six games for the Aggies, who improved to 6-9 overall and evened their mark at 1-1 in Big West Conference play. The 49ers saw their brief two-game winning streak snapped with the loss, falling to 9-7 overall and 1-1 in league action.

With the score tied at 60 apiece following Alex Sanchez's baseline drive, the Aggies got the ball into the hands of Harris, who drilled her third, three-pointer of the game from the corner for the go-ahead basket. Out of a timeout, Long Beach State drove the length of the court for the final shot, but three-pointers by Lauren Spargo and Raven Benton fell short as time expired, handing the Aggies the victory.

Harris finished with 11 points on the night, but was just 2-of-11 from the field until her game-winning basket. She added four rebounds in 28 minutes, joining two teammates in double figures. Fipps finished 6-of-14 from the field, tying a season high with four steals and collecting her third double-digit rebounding game of the season.

Sophomore Alyson Doherty narrowly missed out on her third double-double of the season, finishing with 12 points on 6-of-10 from the floor to go with eight rebounds and a career-high four blocks. Sophomore Celia Marfone, who had missed the previous six games due to a leg injury, finished with seven points and five rebounds off the bench.

Benton and Spargo led a balanced scoring effort for the 49ers, finishing with 10 points apiece, while Ella Clark led Long Beach State with seven rebounds.

In a first half that saw eight ties and two lead changes, the Aggies shrugged off a four-point deficit midway through the period as a four-point play by senior Idit Oryon keyed a 17-2 run by UC Davis that gave the Aggies their largest lead of the half at 34-23 with 3:21 to play and, eventually, they led 39-28 at the break.

The 49ers, who rallied back from an eight-point deficit with just under four minutes to play in regulation against UC Irvine on Thursday, staged a similar comeback on Saturday, outscoring UC Davis 16-4 over the first nine minutes of the half to take their first lead since the 8:21 mark of the first period. Spargo's three-pointer with 11:30 to play capped the run as neither team would lead by more than five points the rest of the way.

Trailing by three points, Harris nailed a three-pointer to draw even, Doherty added a basket, and a three-point play by Fipps, who scored eight of her points in the final 5:34, gave UC Davis some breathing room. However, Long Beach State rallied back as Anna Kim scored four points, Spargo and Ella Clark each scored buckets, and Sanchez scored the final four points of the game to set up Harris' dramatics.

The Aggies shot 44 percent from the floor for the game, holding the 49ers to just 36 percent shooting and overcoming 26 turnovers that led to 28 points for the 49ers. UC Davis out-rebounded Long Beach State, 38-37.

For the first time since mid-December, the Aggies take to the road, heading to Southern California next week to take on UC Riverside and Cal State Fullerton. The Aggies and Highlanders face off on Thursday (Jan. 16) at 7 p.m., while the Titans will be Saturday's opponent (Jan. 18) at 6 p.m.
