OPENING TIPS
• No. 5 Stanford took a 93-44 win over UC Davis on Wednesday at Maples Pavilion. Hannah Stephens had a career night for UC Davis, scoring a career-high 19 points on 7-of-9 shooting... She scored 14 points in the first half alone and hit 4-of-6 three-point shots.
• After starting the season 5-0, UC Davis has now dropped the last two contests to Santa Clara and Stanford.
• Sacramento State is on a four-game winning streak, most recently defeating Fresno Pacific 98-87 behind Megan Kritscher's 20 points, seven rebounds and seven blocks.
• The Hornets have already equalled their win total from 2010-11 as last year's Sacramento State squad went 4-25 overall and won only one Big Sky contest.
• UC Davis has won the last two matchups against Sacramento State.

• In records dating back to the 1971 season, Sacramento State owns a 27-23 series lead.
• From 1974-77, Sacramento State won all nine matchups but UC Davis has been victorious in six of the last eight games against the Hornets.
Heidi Heintz scored 14 points and Paige Mintun added 12 as UC Davis rolled to a 78-55 win over Sacramento State in last year's matchup in Sacramento.

HEAD COACHES
Jennifer Gross was named UC Davis' head coach on Oct. 8, 2010 after Sandy Simpson announced his retirement after 14 seasons... Gross was a Kodak All-American honorable mention point guard for the Aggies during her senior season in 1997-98... Prior to her appointment as head coach, she was an assistant at San Diego State before returning to her alma mater in 2004.

• Jamie Craighead begins her third season with Sacramento State after assuming head coaching duties in 2009, becoming the youngest Div. I head coach at the time of her appointment... With her fast-paced style of offense, the Hornets ranked No. 1 in the Big Sky in steals in 2009-10, averaging over 10 per game... Craighead was also an assistant coach at Portland State as well as Seattle.

SACRAMENTO STATE SCOUTING REPORT
• Sacramento State has won its last four straight games after starting the season 0-3... Most recently, the Hornets defeated Fresno Pacific 98-87 behind Megan Kritscher's 20 points, seven rebounds and seven blocks.
• Kritscher's seven blocks against Fresno Pacific was one shy of the school single-game record... The 6-foot-4 sophomore has 18 blocks this season.
• Kylie Kuhn's six double-doubles leads the nation... She has recorded a double-double in all but one game so far in 2011-12 and has 21 for her career... Kuhn also leads the Big Sky in rebounding and is tenth in the nation with 11.3 rebounds per game.
• The Hornets' four-game winning streak is the first since the 2009-10 season.

• No. 5 Stanford saw four players finish in double-digit scoring as the Cardinal took a 93-44 victory over UC Davis on Nov. 30 at Maples Pavilion in Stanford.
Hannah Stephens poured in a career-high 19 points for the Aggies - 14 of which came in the first half - and went 4-of-6 from three-point range.
Kasey Riecks scored nine points on 4-of-10 shooting while Samantha Meggison dished out a five assists.

• UC Davis moved up one spot and are now ranked 13th nationally in CollegeInsider.com's Mid-Major Top 25 Poll.
• Cal State Fullerton is receiving votes in the poll.
• Other UC Davis opponents featured in the poll include No. 20 Denver as well as Wichita State, Santa Clara, and Portland State, all three of which are receiving votes.
• Last season, UC Davis was ranked as high as No. 8 and were a mainstay in the rankings throughout 2010-11... The Aggies were also consistently the highest-ranked Big West team throughout all of last year.

INJURY REPORT
• Freshman Lauren Beyer is out for the season with a knee injury.

STEPHENS' CAREER NIGHT
• Junior Hannah Stephens had a career performance against No. 5 Stanford on Nov. 30.
• Her 19 points were a career-high number and is the largest scoring output by an Aggie this season.
• She knocked down 7-of-10 field goals, another career mark, and tied a career-best with four three pointers.

ON THE ROAD AGAIN
• UC Davis is in the midst of playing six-of-seven games on the road, beginning with the Nov. 28 matchup at Santa Clara.
• After Sunday's game at The Pavilion, UC Davis will face Saint Mary's in Moraga on Dec. 10, then travel to Honolulu to compete in the Chevron Rainbow Wahine Shootout Dec. 18-20.
• The Aggies' next home game is the Big West Conference opener on Dec. 31 against Cal State Fullerton.

1,000 POINT WATCH: Kasey Riecks
• With nine points against Stanford on Wednesday, Kasey Riecks moved closer to reaching the 1,000 career points mark.
• Riecks entered the 2011-12 season with 825 career points and would become the 15th Aggie women's basketball player to reach the milestone.
• She is currently at 883 career points.

HOME SWEET HOME
• UC Davis won its fifth-straight home game in a streak that dates back to Feb. 26, 2011 with its 64-50 victory over San Francisco on Nov. 22.
• Last season UC Davis posted a 13-game winning streak at The Pavilion which was snapped by Cal State Fullerton on Dec. 31, 2010 in the Big West Conference opener.
• In 2010-11, UC Davis went 12-3 overall in Davis and were a perfect 7-0 during home nonconference games.
