Ten Aggies named to NFHCA National Academic Squad

Over 960 student-athletes representing 76 schools were named to the 2017 Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad.


Sixteen Aggies named to America East Honor Roll

With 80 percent of UC Davis field hockey's student-athletes earning a 3.0 grade point average or higher, the Aggies ranked second among the America East Conference's nine competing programs.


UC Davis draws No. 21 Albany in playoff quarterfinal

The Aggies will begin their run at the America East Conference Championship on Nov. 2 against No. 21 Albany at 1 p.m. (ET).

2016: ALL-AMERICA EAST COMMISSIONER'S HONOR ROLL... Ranked No. 6 in the nation with six defensive saves... Those six saves are a new all-time single-season program record... Scored the game-winning goal at Missouri State (9/24)... Collected an assist in the following game, vs. LIU Brooklyn (9/25)... Recorded the first of a program-record six defensive saves vs. Indiana (9/5)... Season-high two defensive saves took place vs. Stanford (9/30)... Other saves took place vs. Drexel (9/16), Pacific (10/14) and Cal (10/28).

2015: Finished with four points by scoring twice vs. UMass Lowell (10/9)... Both totals are season-high figures... Mewes is the first Aggie freshman in the program's Div. I history to score two goals in a single game... Tied for No. 2 on the team with one game-winning goal... Named a started in 7 of 20 games played... Earned her first collegiate point when she picked up an assist vs. Bryant (8/31)... Four of her seven shots were on goal... Recorded three shots and two on goal, both season highs, vs. UMass Lowell... Recorded her first game-winning goal against the River Hawks.

ARCHBISHOP MITTY HS '15: 2014 National Futures Tournament participant... Three-year letterwinner as a center midfielder... Led team to three Central Coast Section postseason appearances, including a spot in the championship match each season... Selected team captain during her junior and senior season... Archbishop Mitty also bestowed Scholar-Athlete and its Character First Award to Mewes during her senior year... Earned league MVP, all-league first team and all-section first-team accolades as a senior... Voted best defensive player by her teammates... Collected second Character First Award in as many seasons... Cal-Hi Sports Bay Area 2014 CCS fall scholar-athlete... Archbishop Mitty High School's 2014-15 Female Athlete of the Year... PERSONAL: The youngest of Lori Vann-Mewes and David Mewes' two children… Older sister Lindsay is a senior at Stanford… Invested five seasons as a member of the San Jose Fly club field hockey team… That squad won the California Cup in 2013… Receiving Female Athlete of the Year honors, during her senior season, is her proudest personal accomplishment… Would play basketball if she could join another UC Davis athletics team… Stephen Curry is her sports hero.
