The Hawks will enter their game tomorrow against Saint Francis (PA) with a 10-3 record. The Aggies will look to face Temple on Sunday at 9 a.m. (PT)/ 12 p.m. (ET) with a 1-10 mark.

UC Davis goalkeeper Chelsea Bigelow put together another outstanding effort in the goal cage during Friday’s contest, posting nine saves on the day. Sophomore Lauren Gengarella notched her second career goal and freshman Nicola Prebble tallied her first career assist as an Aggie.

The Saint Joseph’s offense put pressure on the Aggies early, forcing two saves from Bigelow within the first seven minutes of play.

A penalty corner opportunity for the Hawks in the 11th minute would lead to a goal by forward Jordan Olenginski, who scored off the rebound from Bigelow’s save to make it 1-0 Saint Joseph’s.

Then with 1:48 left to play in the first half, a long shot from the top of the circle by UC Davis forward Lauren Gengarella found the back of the cage to even the score at one apiece. Gengarella’s goal was assisted by freshman Nicola Prebble, who notched her first career assist as an Aggie.

Bigelow finished the first half with seven saves under her belt.

In the second half, the score remained tied for the first 15 minutes of play until Saint Joseph’s scored the go ahead goal on a counter attack.
