DAVIS, Calif. – UC Davis field hockey head coach Tiffany Huisman will host her program’s inaugural Junior Day on Friday, March 14, for high school student-athletes looking to explore the university and its field hockey program.
Starting at 9 a.m. from Aggie Stadium, the program’s home until the program’s new on-campus field opens this fall, prospective players and family members will begin the day by observing practice involving current Aggies.
The next portion of the morning will include a campus tour; all prospects and accompanying visitors are encouraged to wear (or bring) comfortable walking shoes. Commencing near Toomey Weight Room, everyone will have a chance to observe a Division I weight-training session prior to the lunch break.
From 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m., prospective high school and current UC Davis student-athletes will have lunch at the Memorial Union and visit the campus bookstore before meeting with academic advisors.
Due to NCAA rules and regulations, the field hockey program is unable to offer reimbursements for parking or provide meals.
Following Academic Services’ presentation, a question and answer session involving the coaching staff, and players will take place.
