In addition to scores, news, notes, and highlights fans will now have an opportunity to interact and communicate with coaches and members of Northern California's favorite field hockey team. By providing photos, video and information year-round, fans can catch a glimpse of events and moments that take place off the field.
Twitter is a free service that is growing in popularity, that allows individuals to communicate with friends, family members, colleagues, public figures, and, in this case, athletics teams in 140 character messages called "tweets." You can send, or receive, tweets online at your Twitter account or on your cell phone.
If you already have a Twitter account, take a few seconds to follow @UCDFieldHockey now. If you are new to medium of communication, join and receive updates by following the instructions below.
- Visit twitter.com
- At the "New to Twitter" sign up box, enter your full name, e-mail, create a password and click "Sign up for Twitter"
- Continue with the registration process until you have your own official Twitter account (see, that was easy!)
- To receive updated on your mobile device or tablet download the Twitter app, login, add your phone to your Twitter account (login ---> settings ---> devices)
