BOSTON -
For the second season in a row, UC Davis will face Albany in the quarterfinal round of the America East Championships when the league revealed its tournament bracket Sunday afternoon. The Aggies will face the Great Danes Thursday afternoon, in Stockton, at 2:30 p.m. (PT).

This year's conference playoffs will take place at Pacific, starting with two Thursday afternoon quarterfinal matchups. The other two quarterfinals are scheduled for Friday; winners of the first four tournament matches will square off against one another at Pacific Field Hockey Turf in Saturday's semifinal contests. Sunday's championship is set for 1 p.m.

Matches taking place throughout the first three days of this year's event will take place at 12 noon and 2:30 p.m. Live stats and a video stream are available for every game.

UC Davis will enter the tournament with a bit of momentum after topping Cal 2-0 last Friday. Kayla Wigney scored both Aggie goals that afternoon, and the team's defense locked down the Golden Bears throughout the entire 70-minute match. This combination enabled UC Davis to send its seniors out with a victory in their final home match.

This is the second time, in as many seasons, that UC Davis will face Albany in the opening round of the league's postseason tournament. Last season, the Aggies fell 1-0 to the eventual tournament champion. However, that event took place on the Great Danes' home turf, and forced the Aggies to make the cross-country trek.
