SAN JOSE, Calif. - Less than a week after its last tournament, the No. 35 UC Davis women's golf team will return to the course on Monday and Tuesday for the Juli Inkster Spartan Invitational hosted by San Jose State.

The 13-team tournament opens with 36 holes on Monday morning. The shotgun start is 8:30 a.m. with UC Davis playing with the host Spartans and No. 20 Oregon - the highest ranked team in the tournament. The 54-hole tournament concludes with the final round on Tuesday morning beginning at 8:30.

The Aggies will use four of the five players that competed last week at the UC Irvine Invitational - Betty Chen, Paige Lee, Andrea Wong and Blair Lewis - and will add senior Jessica Chulya to the lineup.

Chen is coming off a good start to the spring season, posting a pair of top-10 performances including a fourth-place showing at Irvine last week. She was named the Big West Conference Women's Golfer of the Month for the second consecutive time after also earning it to end the fall portion of the schedule.

Chen is averaging 73.5 strokes and has a low round of 69. Lee is averaging 75.4 strokes and is followed by Wong (76.1), Chulya (76.5) and Lewis (77.6).

UC Davis and Oregon are the only top-35 teams in the tournament which also includes Boise State, Coastal Carolina, Colorado State, Cal State Fullerton, Fresno State, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Portland State, San Francisco, San jose State and Santa Clara.
