Second-year head coach Anne Walker said the field is the toughest of the year so far for the Aggies but will be a good barometer for her squad.
"We're just excited to play," she said. "This will be the most difficult field we've played. This week will tell us where we stack up. I believe we're a top-25 team and this will allow us to see if we're a top-25 team."
UC Davis, which finished in a tie for 11th-place with Colorado State at last year's event, will be represented by Alice Kim, Amy Simanton, Demi Runas, Kimberly Johnson and Chelsea Stelzmiller. Pepperdine, led by medalist Lisa McCloskey who finished at an impressive 17-under 199, captured last year's team title.
The Aggies have not played since finished second at the Ron Moore Intercollegiate at Denver on Sept. 23, the second of two early-season tournaments which also included a sixth-place performance at the Dick McGuire Invitational at New Mexico. Kim leads the team with a 72.7 average while Stelzmiller is at 74.5. Simanton is averaging 76.2 strokes and Johnson is at 76.7. Runas is making her season-debut.
