UPDATED FOR 2017 NCAA REGIONAL2017: NCAA SEATTLE REGIONAL qualifier as an all-arounder, ranking 6th overall in the West and tops in the conference at 39.210... MPSF GYMNAST OF THE YEAR... MPSF CHAMPION in all-around (39.375) and floor exercise (9.875, tied)... ALL-MPSF FIRST TEAM in all four events plus all-around, one of three to earn all-conference in all five categories and the only one to make the first team in each... Scored 39 or better six times, including MPSF-winning career high... Previous AA best was 39.350 at Air Force (Feb. 11)...Tied then school beam record of 9.900 three times (Feb. 17, Feb. 24, Mar. 10) until Katy Nogaki broke the benchmark at MPSF meet... Only Aggie to score 9.9 on beam multiple times... Scored 9.925 on floor in home dual with Alaska Anchorage (Feb. 19), joining a sizable tie for 5th in school record book... Scored 9.800 or better 28 times -- 8 on vault, 7 on bars, 6 on beam, 7 on floor... This brings her career total to 59, surpassing the previous record of 56, set by Stephanie Stamates from 2013-16.
2016: NCAA SALT LAKE REGIONAL qualifier on bars and beam... First Aggie to earn at-large event berths in multiple events (not counting all-arounders)... MPSF CHAMPION on uneven bars (9.825), edging a four-way tie for second in the meet's last routine... Also finished T3rd on vault (9.825), T6th on beam (9.800) as the only Aggie to podium in three events... ALL-MPSF FIRST TEAM on bars (9.790) and beam (9.845), SECOND TEAM on vault (9.780)... Ranked T17th in the West Region on beam at 9.845, matching teammate Katy Nogaki but earning the tiebreaker... Earned MPSF Gymnast of the Week on Feb. 9 after scoring 9.825-9.900-9.825 on vault-bars-beam at home vs. San Jose State (Feb. 5)... Became seventh Aggie to break 9.9 barrier on bars, ranking T4th in school record book... Scored 9.8 or better four times on vault, three times on bars, nine times on beam... Enters NCAA regional with 31 career 9.8-plus scores... 2015: ALL-MPSF on vault and beam... Ranked T2nd (with teammate Cassandra Quebral) on beam with 9.815 RQS, 5th on vault at 9.830... Won MPSF Newcomer of the Week honors three times: Feb. 17, Mar. 3 and Mar. 17... Scored 9.80 or better six times on vault, including season-best 9.850 on three occasions... Posted beam best at Sac State (Jan. 23) then matched it at Cal (Mar. 8) and at MPSF Championships (Mar. 21)... Twice broke 39-point barrier in all-around: 39.125 in home triangular with Sac/CMU (Feb. 27), 39.250 in home dual vs. Washington (Mar. 13)... Latter score ranks T8th in school history, highest ever by a freshman... Averaged 38.900 in five all-around appearances, one meet shy of qualifying for an RQS... Competed in bars lineup in all 12 meets, reaching 9.800 in that Mar. 13 dual with UW... Lone freshman among four recipients of team's Outstanding Contribution Award.
HIGH SCHOOL/CLUB: Graduated from Huntington Beach HS in 2014... Competed at Junior Olympics three times plus J.O. NIT in four years at Level 10... Two-time J.O. national participant for Team OC Gymnastics, placing 4th and T5th on floor in 2013 and 2014, respectively... Tied for beam title and finished 2nd on floor and in all-around at 2013 Region I championships... Followed with outright beam championship plus 5th-place showing at 2014 regional... Made Junior Olympics NIT in 2011, her first year at Team OC... Previously competed for Gymnastics East (Seattle, Wash.), winning beam, floor and all-around crowns at 2010 Region 2 meet to earn first J.O. national berth.
