Agah, Yektaparast voted to team's leadership positions; four Aggies earn Outstanding Contribution awards
2007: ALL-MPSF SECOND TEAM on both vault and floor... Finished with RQS of 9.800 on vault, second in conference behind teammate Tanya Ho... Won team's Coaches' Award... Placed T3rd on vault at MPSF Championships at 9.775... Made collegiate all-around debut in dual at Seattle Pacific, scoring 38.200... Had three 38-plus all-around scores in February, including season-best 38.300 at home vs. Cal State Fullerton... Broke 9.800 barrier five times on vault, hitting 9.825 twice... Scored 9.800 on both floor and vault in home finale with Sac State/San Jose State/Cal... Also enjoyed solid overall meet at Boise State, scoring 9.825 on vault, season-high 9.650 on beam and 9.750 on floor... Selected to Academic All-MPSF squad.
2006: ALL-MPSF FIRST TEAM on vault, compiling RQS of 9.705... Hit 9.850 at San Jose State, T4th all-time at UC Davis and the program's highest since 2003... Scored 9.700 or better five times, including three straight early in season... Added 9.725 in home dual with Air Force... Narrowly missed qualifying for USAG event final, posting 9.650 in prelims... Competed on floor 12 times, hitting 9.625 at national team prelims, then improving career high to 9.700 the following day in team final.
2005: Appeared in three meets before being sidelined by injury... Competed on vault, beam and floor in each meet... Season-best scores all came in opener at Cal: 9.450 on vault, 9.475 on beam, 9.425 on floor.
HIGH SCHOOL/CLUB: Lettered in track & field at Salinas HS, from which she graduated in 2003... Placed 3rd in long jump, 4th in 4x100 relay at Monterey Bay League meet and qualified for Central Coast Section championships... Competed for Elite Gymnastics Academy... Placed 8th on floor at Level 10 state meet and qualified for regionals in 2002... Finished 5th in all-around, 4th on vault, 5th on beam, 7th on floor at state meet in 2001... Advanced to regionals, where she was 8th on beam, 9th on floor.
PERSONAL: Born in Salinas, Calif.... Majoring in human development... Parents are Larry Lujan and Susan Arnold... Youngest of four sisters: Cindy Shean, Leila Lujan and Debbie Borzini... Married former Aggie football player Elliot Vallejo in July 2007... Proudest personal accomplishment is going through physical therapy and returning to gymnastics after two surgeries.
