Agah, Yektaparast voted to team's leadership positions; four Aggies earn Outstanding Contribution awards
2008: ALL-MPSF on beam, posting 9.595 RQS entering conference meet... Competed on bars in all 13 meets, beam on 12, floor on six... Enjoyed solid two-meet stay in Alaska, scoring 9.525 on bars, 9.700 on beam in the Friday dual, then improving to 9.700 and 9.750 two days later... Finished the regular season in strong fashion on bars, posting 9.700 at Cal quadrangular, then hitting season-high 9.725 at home vs. Sacramento State/San Jose State/Stanford... Selected for both NACGC/W Academic Award and MPSF Academic All-Conference.
2007: Saw action in five total meets, including three in beam lineup... Scored season-best 9.750 on beam in Sacramento State/San Jose State/Cal home finale.
HIGH SCHOOL/CLUB: Graduated from Carlmont HS in 2006... Member of San Mateo Gymnastics from 1996-2006... Qualified for USAG J.O. Nationals in 2001 and 2003, plus selected as alternate in 2005 and 2006... Became club's first Elite nationals qualifier in 2002, finishing 2nd on beam... Placed 3rd on beam at the U.S. Elite Challenge the following year... Won bars title at Level 10 Region 1 meet to advance to J.O. Nationals... Placed T8th on beam at 2003 national meet... Competed at Region 1 and State Level 10 meets in both 2005 and 2006.
