A former team co-captain and the 2008 MPSF co-champion on balance beam, Christine Tao enters her first season as a volunteer assistant coach at her alma mater. She served as a team mananger in 2012.

Originally from Maple Valley, Wash., Tao transferred to UC Davis midway through her freshman year, contributing as a beam specialist for four seasons. She reached the pinnacle of success in her sophomore year, when her career-high 9.800 score tied Seattle Pacific's Anissa Madrid for first place on balance beam at the MPSF championships.

Tao served as a team co-captain (along with Michelle Bobonski) in 2010. She earned three straight All-Academic awards from the NACGC/W, plus two others from the conference.

Tao graduated from UC Davis with a degree in design; in fact, her skills in this area served the program as she produced numerous posters and promotional items as an intern in the Aggie athletics department.
