Four-year letterwinner, team co-captain and all-conference honoree Taryn West remains with the Aggie program to serve her old teammates as a volunteer assistant coach in 2013.

The Bay Area native garnered All-Mountain Pacific Sports Federation honors on floor exercise as a junior in 2012, entering the conference championship with a 9.735 RQS. West went on to place sixth at the MPSF meet with a 9.775. She hit a career-high 9.825 in the 2013 home opener with California and later added a 9.800 in the event at home against San Jose State.

West also competed in the lineup in 22 meets during her career, including all 12 dates during the 2012 season.

A 2009 graduate of Bishop O'Dowd High School, West competed at Bay Aerials in Fremont, Calif. for seven years, qualifying for the Junior Olympics Nationals after an eighth-place all-around finish at the 2009 Region I championships.

West completed her degree in psychology in 2013.
