SEATTLE - Senior Michelle Ho won the individual uneven bars for a third straight week while junior Anna Shumaker crushed her career high in the all-around to lead UC Davis to a season-best 193.625 team score in collegiate women's gymnastics action at the Alaska Airlines Arena at Hec Edmundson Pavilion Friday night. Host Washington won the meet at 194.800, outpacing Cal's 194.125. UIC finished fourth in the meet at 191.350, more than two full points behind the Aggies.

Ho scored a 9.850 on bars to share first-place honors with Cal's Madisyn O'Brien. The two-time reigning Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Gymnast of the Week turned in another strong performance, scoring a 9.675 on beam and a 9.775 on floor before closing the meet with that bars mark. Ho has now scored 9.800, 9.850 and 9.850 in three meets this season.

Shumaker, competing in her first season as an all-arounder after recovering from a shoulder surgery in 2012, amassed a four-event total of 38.825 to place third in the meet. She opened with a 9.700 on beam, added a 9.650 on floor then posted scores of 9.750 and 9.725 on vault and bars during the evening's home stretch.

Freshman Stephanie Stamates also enjoyed a high finish for the Aggies, placing second on floor execise with a 9.800. She tied Cal's Mariesah Pierce and scored just .025 behind Washington's Paige Bixler in the meet.

Other UC Davis highlights included Katie Yamamura's team-leading 9.825 on vault. She took part in a sizable tie for fourth place in that event. Sophomore Tiana Montell also had a solid night, scoring 9.725 on both vault and bars. Both marks either set or tie career highs for the 2012 NCAA regional qualifier.

The Aggies, who had struggled on balance beam during the first two meets, counted just one miss en route to a 47.825 on that apparatus in the opening rotation. They moved on to a 48.425 on floor, then hit season-high scores of 48.550 on vault and 48.725 on bars to close out the meet. The latter represents the program's highest team bars score since compiling a 48.875 at Sacramento State near the end of the 2011 season.

UC Davis returns to action in another quadrangular, this time on January 26 at Air Force with preseason No. 21 Missouri and former USAG rival Texas Woman's.
