Box Score

SEATTLE, Wash. - Freshman Marcy Miller led a 1-2-3 sweep on vault and was one of four Aggies to win event titles as UC Davis totalled a winning score of 190.075 over Seattle Pacific's 187.850 in a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation women's gymnastics meet at the Royal Brougham Pavilion Friday evening.

Sophomores Lida Gehlen and Eve Hui won the uneven bars and balance beam, respectively, while senior Michelle Kulovitz tied for first place on floor exercise. UC Davis improves to 5-2 for the season and 3-0 against fellow MPSF members.

Miller scored a 9.800 to capture the individual vault, edging teammate Michelle Bobonski's second-place score of 9.775. Freshman Ashley Lachman, who also placed third on floor with a 9.625, scored a similar score in the second rotation. In all, the Aggies managed a 48.250 on vault.

Gehlen, the reigning MPSF Gymnast of the Week, posted her third straight bars win with a 9.825 score. She score, coupled with Bobonski's 9.650, helped UC Davis offset three misses on the event. Meanwhile, the Falcons managed a 47.075 on vault and a 47.975 on bars to claim a slight 95.050-94.925 lead at the midway point of the meet.

The Aggies claimed the meet lead in the second half as Kulovitz helped lead the floor squad to a 47.950, more than full point better than any of its previous meets. Sophomore Tanya Ho contributed a 9.600 in the fourth slot, then senior Andi Dolinsky fired out a 9.525 in her 2008 debut.

Hui shattered her previous career-best mark on balance beam in the fourth rotation, landing a 9.750 in the team's final routine of the night. Her previous high score had been a 9.575 on January 18. Ho and sophomore Kendall McCann each tied SPU senior Ashley Domres for second place on beam with scores of 9.650.

Domres was the individual all-around champ with a 38.225 total.

UC Davis returns to action in a home dual with Cal State Fullerton on February 8. The meet, dubbed "Beauty And The Beast", runs simultaneously with the Aggie wrestling team's home dual with the Titans.
