USAFA, Colo. - Junior Andi Dolinsky posted event wins on uneven bars and floor exercise to lead UC Davis to a 185.600 team score, just ahead of host Air Force's 185.425, in a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation women's gymnastics dual meet at Cadet West Gym Sunday.
The Aggies even their dual record at 3-3. The Falcons drop to 0-4 for the year.
Dolinsky led a 1-2-3 UC Davis sweep with a 9.575 on uneven bars in the first rotation, then scored a 9.675 to claim the individual title on floor. Her floor mark helped the Aggies break the 47-point barrier in that event.
Freshman Tanya Ho picked up her fourth straight vault win in the second rotation, scoring a 9.800 to win that apparatus. UC Davis claimed the top four individual places on vault en route to a team score of 48.375. Carrie Lujan and Michelle Kulovitz each scored 9.700 to tie for second place, while sophomore Adee Schoffman hit 9.625 to place fourth.
Senior Mari Inouye also picked up an event win, scoring 9.500 to earn a share for first place with the Falcons' Kayla Kincade. Her score ended a frustrating rotation for UC Davis, which managed just a 45.100 on beam to end the meet. The Aggies also were outscored on bars, despite sweeping the top three individual finishes. UC Davis went 45.050 to Air Force's 45.375 in the event.
Shonna Iwaniec won the individual all-around with a 37.325. Only Air Force fielded all-arounders in the meet.
UC Davis returns home to host Cal State Fullerton in a dual meet Friday.
