SAN JOSE, Calif. - Junior Michelle Kulovitz tied for first place on vault and scored a career-high 38.775 in the individual all-around as UC Davis compiled a team total of 191.450 in a three-way women's collegiate gymnastics meet at San Jose State Friday. Sacramento State won the meet with a season-best 193.700 while host SJSU compiled a second-place total of 193.050.

Kulovitz tied with Hornet Marina Borosava and Spartan Veronica Porte for the win on vault, scoring a 9.775 in the event. She led the vaulters to a 48.350 overall, the seventh straigh 48-plus score for the Aggies this season. Kulovitz also led her team on balance beam scoring a 9.675; and tied with teammate Andi Dolinsky on floor exercise at 9.700.

Sophomore Adee Schoffman finished behind Kulovitz with a season-best 9.750 on vault. Seniors Carolyn Kampf and Carrie Lujan each hit 9.650 to provide the Aggies some lift in the event. Kampf and fellow team captain Brandi Forte each scored 9.650 on bars to led UC Davis.

Borosava won the individual all-around with a 39.350 total, boosted by a win on uneven bars (9.875), a share of the win on floor exercise (9.900) plus her vault score. Porte also captured the individual balance beam competition at 9.825..

UC Davis tied its season high on bars with a 48.125. Besides Forte and Kampf, Dolinsky and Kulovitz hit 9.625 marks and freshman Michelle Bobonski went 9.575. Bobonski had been sidelined since the team's January 19 meet at Seattle Pacific. The Aggies also scored their third straight 48-plus mark on floor exercise as Dolinsky's hit in the No. 6 slot secured a 48.225 total. Lujan provided a 9.675 while Schoffman and senior Mari Inouye opened the rotation with 9.575 scores.
