DAVIS, Calif. - Senior Michelle Kulovitz won the individual floor exercise title with a career-high 9.875 while sophomores Michelle Bobonski and Lida Gehlen added event wins on vault and bars, respectively, as UC Davis posted a season-best 192.875 in a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation home dual gymnastics meet at the Pavilion Friday. Visiting Alaska Anchorage finished second in the meet at 190.625, narrowly missing a season-high score.

The Aggies improve to 8-4 for the season.

Kulovitz also the individual all-around winner with a four-event total of 37.800. Her night included a 9.725 on vault, good for a tie for third place with teammate Stacey Nicolini. Bobonski posted a 3-for-3 performance for the second consecutive week, carding a winning 9.800 on vault, a third-place 9.725 on bars and a second-place 9.725 on balance beam.

As a team, UC Davis broke the 48-point barrier on beam (48.075) and floor (48.450) for the first time during the 2008 season. The floor total was boosted by four Aggie career-high marks: Kulovitz (9.875), Adee Schoffman (9.775), Ashley Lachman (9.725) and Marcy Miller (9.550).

Gehlen's win on bars is her seventh overall for the year. She matched her career high with a 9.850, helping UC Davis recover from two early misses to post a 47.775 in the event. Bobonski and Tanya Ho both took part in a three-way tie for third place with 9.725 scores.

Leah Wilson was the lone UAA event-winner. The freshman from Port Coquitlam, British Columbia nailed a 9.775 to give her the edge over the Aggies' Bobonski on the apparatus. Seawolf senior Jessica Portlock also enjoyed a strong overall meet, finishing second on vault at 9.775 while adding a 9.725 on bars and a 9.700 on floor exercise.

UC Davis returns to action on March 7 for a four-way meet at Sacramento State. That event also features region rival California and MPSF leaguemate Seattle Pacific.
