Box Score

DAVIS, Calif. - Junior Andi Dolinsky scored career-high marks on uneven bars and floor exercise to lead UC Davis to a winning score of 192.450 in a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation women's gymnastics dual meet with Seattle Pacific Friday evening. The visiting Falcons scored 191.700 to finish second in the meet.

The Aggies improve to 7-6 overall and are now 4-0 against MPSF opposition.

Dolinsky, the reigning MPSF Gymnast of the Week, recorded a career-high 9.875 to help UC Davis salvage a 47.850 on floor. She previously hit a 9.850 on uneven bars.

The Aggies opened strong, scoring a 48.400 on vault as Tanya Ho and Carrie Lujan each carded 9.750 scores to join in a three-way tie for first place in the event. In the second rotation, Dolinsky's career-high score on bars tied senior Brandi Forte for first-place honors in that apparatus as UC Davis crafted a 48.875 team total. That mark is tied for second in school history among team bars scores.

Facing more than a two-point deficit at the meet's midway point, Seattle Pacific gained considerable ground on floor exercise in the third rotation. Senior Debra Huss scored a 9.900 in the No. 6 slot to anchor her team, while teammates Brianna Schwartz, Kristin Bryant and Sarah Sullivan hit 9.825 marks in the event. Meanwhile, UC Davis struggled to a 47.325 on balance beam depsite a career-best 9.650 by freshman Christine Tao. The Falcons pulled to within a 144.600-144.225 deficit through three rotations.

Sullivan then scored a 9.725 on balance beam and Huss followed with a 9.800, but the two scores were insufficient for SPU to overcome falls on the first three routines on the apparatus. Meanwhile, Carolyn Kampf's career-best 9.850 and Dolinsky's second-place 9.875 sealed the victory for the Aggies.

Huss won the individual all-around with a total of 38.950. She was also the only double-event winner for either team, capturing both beam and floor titles. Sullivan was just behind in the all-around at 38.750 while Ho led UC Davis with a third-place total of 38.150.

UC Davis returns to action on Sunday for the gymnastics edition of the Causeway Classic, taking on Sacramento State for a non-conference dual meet.
