DAVIS, Calif. - Sophomore Jessica Kelley won the individual all-around at 39.450 to lead California to a winning team score of 196.500 in a four-team women's collegiate gymnastics meet at Pavilion Friday evening. Sacramento State finished second at 195.150 while San Jose State was third at 194.500. Meet host UC Davis finished fourth with a season-best score of 193.150.
The Aggies move to 8-10 on the year.
Junior Carrie Lujan was the top finisher for UC Davis, tying for second on vault with a 9.800 score. Carolyn Kampf, one of four Aggie seniors competing in her final home meet, finished in a four-way tie for fourth on floor exercise at 9.825. Kampf, Julia Richards, Brandi Forte and Mari Inouye each were honored in a post-meet ceremony.
UC Davis broke the 48-point barrier on three events. Lujan led the vault squad to another solid team total of 48.650. Freshman Lida Gehlen hit a season-best 9.800 on uneven bars to help the Aggies hit 48.625 in the second rotation. Richards and Lujan each hit 9.800 scores in aid of Kampf's team-best 9.825 on floor as UC Davis closed the meet with a 48.050 in the final rotation.
The Golden Bears, which entered the meet ranked sixth in the West Region, won three of the four events in addition to Kelley's all-around victory. Senior Isabel Garcia scored 9.825 on vault to stay ahead of Lujan and teammate Kelley. Bridgett Glass and Lydia Williams each posted 9.900s on uneven bars to share the meet win in that event.Glass and Kelley also hit 9.900 to share first place on balance beam.

Sacramento State sophomore Marina Borisova recorded a 9.925 on floor exercise to post the highest mark in any event for the night. She was five-hundredths ahead of Cal's Kelley, who scored 9.875. Borisova also placed second in the all-around at 39.350 while Cal senior Siobhan Luce was third with a 39.225.
Cal's final total ranks second in school history and will help the Bears improve on its 193.295 regional-qualifying score. State entered the meet ranked fifth in the West with a 193.295 RQS. Sacramento State was seventh at 192.945, while UC Davis held the No. 9 spot at 192.180.
The Aggies return to action on March 31 for the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships at Seattle Pacific.
