SEATTLE, Wash. - Senior Michelle Naito scored 9.675 to share 22nd place on balance beam at the NCAA West Region Women's Gymnastics Championships at the Edmundson Pavilion at the University of Washington Saturday. Sophomore Tiffany Chan also competed at the regionals, scoring a 41st-place 9.275 on floor exercise.

Lynn Schwaebe also qualified for the meet as a bars competitor, but did not make the trip due to lingering injuries.

Each of the eight NCAA region meets features six qualifying teams, plus at-large all-around competitors and at-large qualifiers on each of the four individual events. The three qualifiers at regionals represents a program-best total for at-large competitors. UC Davis made its first team appearance in 1998.

Nebraska won the meet with a 196.650 total. The Cornhuskers had the top two all-arounders with Richelle Simpson winning at 39.575 and A.J. Lamb finishing second with a 39.525.

The Aggies finish their season at the USAG Collegiate Nationals on April 17-19, hosted by Texas Woman's University.
