NOTES
Senior Carrie Lujan made her career all-around debut, scoring 38.200 in the Aggies' win at Seattle Pacific... Lujan was not originally scheduled to compete as an all-arounder, but was summoned into action when Carolyn Kampf suffered a pre-meet injury... UC Davis scored 191.175 overall, its highest score at SPU's Brougham Pavilion since posting a 191.450 on March 2, 2001...

Freshman Tanya Ho scored her second straight win on vault, posting a 9.825 to edge Lujan (9.800) for the meet win... Ho scored 38.700 in the all-around, 2nd in the meet... UC Davis totalled 48.700 on vault, No. 2 in school history behind only the 48.875 set vs. San Jose State on Jan. 12... The previous school record was 48.600, set vs. Sacramento State on March 17 last season... Junior Andi Dolinsky hit a career-high 9.800 to lead the Aggies on floor exercise... Senior Brandi Forte went 9.700 to pace the team on bars.

UP NEXT: The Aggies compete in a quadrangular meet at Cal State Fullerton that features Southern Utah and Hamline... The Titans and Thunderbirds are both members of the Western Athletic Conference (in gymnastics only)... CSF placed 2nd (190.425) in a home triangular with UCLA... Senior Brittany Evans was T4th on beam at 9.700, while junior Melissa Schafer matched that finish with a 9.725 on floor exercise... SUU has also competed in two meets, opening the year at 194.075 in a home win vs. Sacramento State on Jan. 12, then compiling a 188.625 at Michigan last weekend... Senior Leah Sakhitab won the all-around with a 38.600, while freshman Elise Wheeler was 4th on floor at 9.725... Wheeler earned WAC Gymnast of the Week two weeks ago for her all-around win against the Hornets... Hamline is a Division III program, member of the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference... The Pipers picked up a 174.225-173.150 home win vs. Winona State Sunday... Kristen Weniger was a double-winner in the meet, capturing the vault (9.200) and bars (9.150).

HEAD COACH JOHN LAVALLEE
"We increased our overall team score by four points and definitely made a lot of improvements. Seattle Pacific is traditionally a tough gym to go into. We picked up quite a bit on each event, but have a long way to go. We have a lot of things to work on and improve on. That's good -- it means we have a long way to go in our scoring. We can still score a lot higher."

"Our biggest jump was in our overall execution on floor, beam and bars. We cut our falls down by almost half. That's three and a half points right there. It was very encouraging to see that big of a jump in one week. If we can cut our falls by half again this week, we'll start being a really competitive team. We're very happy about where we're at, but we're also very encouraged by the possibilities that exist out there. "

"Carrie Lujan stepped up out of nowhere to compete on bars, and hit 4-for-4 in her first time as an all-arounder. She led off for us on bars and beam and scored another 9.800 on vault. Carrie had the best meet of her life at Davis, and she's still not done."

"We had a lot of people really step up. Bars was first up and was a really stressful event for us without Carolyn. She does a very solid routine for us. We got through it, went to vault and stepped it up. There were a lot of people who made big improvements."
