DAVIS, Calif. - Freshman Tanya Ho was selected as Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Gymnast of the Week for January 23-29, it was announced by the conference office Tuesday. This is the first such award for Ho, a native of nearby Elk Grove, Calif. and Byers Gymnastics Center.

Ho won the individual vault in a four-team meet at Cal State Fullerton last Friday, matching her season high of 9.850. Her performance helped the Aggies score a meet-high 48.650, ahead of Southern Utah, Hamline and the host Titans. Ho has now won the vault in all three meets in her young collegiate career.

Additionally, Ho ranks fifth in the West Region with a total season average of 9.842. As a team, UC Davis has averaged 48.742 in three meets on vault, third-best in the West behind only Stanford and UCLA.

The Aggies return to action for an MPSF meet at Air Force on February 4.
