Hebert captures first MPSF weekly honor

Jan. 30, 2018

UC Davis gymnast Kelley Hebert earned her first Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Freshman of the Week award, the league office announced on Tuesday. The awards are for the week ending January 28.

Hebert, a human development student and an alumna of the Dublin, California-based Edge Gymnastics, placed third in the all-around with a 38.950 during Friday's home opener. She finished second to Brown on balance beam with a 9.800, then followed with a fifth-place 9.775 on floor exercise. Hebert looks to become just the third Aggie to break the 39-point threshold has a freshman, behind Katie Yamamura (2010) and Alexis Brown (2015).

The Aggies return to action on Friday in a quadrangular with 21st-ranked Stanford and MPSF members San Jose State and Seattle Pacific. Meet time is 7 p.m.
