DAVIS, Calif. - UC Davis senior Andi Dolinsky earned a share of Gymnast of the Year honors while head coach John Lavallee took home Coach of the Year distinction as the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation announced its year-end awards on Monday.

Additionally, nine Aggies claimed a total of 13 All-MPSF honors, including juniors Tanya Ho and Kendall McCann with three awards each.

Lavallee has now won Coach of the Year accolades every year in his three seasons at the Aggie helm. This season, his team led the MPSF wire-to-wire in both total average and regional-qualifying score (RQS), while improving on its previous mark for nine straight weeks with the exception of an emergency fill-in appearance at Stanford.

Dolinsky has now won two Gymnast of the Year honors, having captured the award outright as a junior in 2007. One of two UC Davis team captains, she tied UAA's Shakea Sanders atop the conference floor exercise standings with a 9.790 RQS entering the season. After sitting out most of 2008 due to injury, Dolinsky was arguably the Aggies' most consistent performer in any event throughout the year, posting 12 floor scores ranging from 9.700 and 9.850. Dolinsky finished third at Friday's MPSF Championships with a 9.775.

Senior Abbey Rogers of Air Force, who tied for the 2008 honor with UC Davis' Michelle Kulovitz, also repeated Co-Gymnast of the Year accolades. Tami Monette, the longtime assistant to Paul Stoklos at Alaska Anchorage, was selected as Assistant Coach of the Year.

Ho captured All-MPSF honors on vault, uneven bars and the all-around for the third straight season, bringing her lifetime total to 10 such awards (she also won All-MPSF on floor in 2008). McCann picked up her all-conference nods on bars, balance beam and the all-around. She was the Aggies' lone winner on beam.

Junior Lida Gehlen won her third straight All-MPSF award on bars, leading the conference with a 9.800 RQS. Junior Michelle Bobonski and sophomore Marcy Miller joined Ho among the vault honorees, while senior co-captain Adee Schoffman and freshmen Erika Van Dyke and Jennifer Mueller won All-MPSF honors on floor.

The all-conference teams are selected based on the RQS rankings heading into the conference championship meet. The top gymnast from each school in each event is named, plus the next four student-athletes at large (regardless of team affiliation).

UC Davis finished third as a team in Friday's conference meet, scoring 191.425. Alaska Anchorage won its first MPSF title at 192.825, while two-time champion Seattle Pacific was second at 191.700. Meet host Air Force finished fourth with a 191.050 total.
