STANFORD, Calif. - Megan Burker scored four goals and Abbi Hills added three more as No. 14 Stanford beat UC Davis, 15-4, in a season-opening Mountain Pacific Sports Federation women's lacrosse game at Maloney Field Saturday.

The Aggies open the year at 0-1 overall and in MPSF play. The Cardinal, who were ranked in the preseason for the first time in school history, moves to 1-0 on the year.

UC Davis was outshot 21-5 in the first half of play, but managed to hold Stanford to just three goals before the break. Senior attack wing Kelly Albin had the lone Aggie goal in the first half.

The Cardinal exploded for 12 goals in the second half, including three each by Hills and Burker. Senior Kim Cahill scored both of her goals after the intermission.

Senior Naomi Coffman and freshman Katie McMahon also added a goal each for UC Davis.

The Aggies hold their home opener on February 29 against Saint Mary's.
